Saturday Night Live is returning for its latest season on January 30th. The iconic variety show will continue it’s 46th(!!!) season after a short festive hiatus.
SNL’s official Twitter account announced the hosts and musical guests for the next three episodes of the long-running show today.
Saturday 30th January will see actor and director John Krasinski (best known as Jim Halpert from US iteration of The Office) host with music from rapper/pop-punk star Machine Gun Kelly, who released his latest album ‘Tickets to My Downfall’ in 2020.
Saturday 6th February will be hosted by actor and writer Dan Levy (best known for Schitt’s Creek, which he co-wrote and starred in alongside his father, Eugene Levy) and will feature a performance by Phoebe Bridgers, who released her latest album ‘Punisher’ last year and is nominated for multiple Grammy Awards including: best new artist, best alternative album (‘Punisher’) and best rock song and best rock performance, both for ‘Kyoto’.
Saturday 13th February will be lead by actor and director Regina King (who directed the critically acclaimed film adaptation of Kemp Powers’ play One Night in Miami in 2020) while music will be kindly provided by singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff, who released his latest album ‘And It’s Still Alright’ on February 14th, 2020.
Saturday Night Live looks to kick off 2021 with a bang with an absolutely star-studded first few weeks, and it’s going to be exciting to see what the politically-charged show has in store for President Joe Biden.
